OEM Sales Representative
The selected individual will be responsible for developing sales to OEM customers by prospecting, qualifying and developing relationships with customers in both domestic and overseas market.

A clear and in-depth understanding of the company's product line and target customer base will form the backbone of success in this role. The individual must maintain a thorough understanding of its applications and provide product support and training, along with the ability to navigate through high level discussion involving technical language and concepts involving mechanical, electrical and chemical principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Develop a plan to meet the goals and objectives of the OEM sales strategy.
-Collaborate with management for approval of all pricing decisions
-Provide technical support for the introduction and qualification of company products at key customers for the targeted markets. Promote sales of company products by facilitating their use in customer applications .
-Visit current and prospective customers; attend trade shows, promotional events and meetings not only to solicit sales but also to understand customer needs.
-Coordinate information exchange with management, product engineers and alliance partners to facilitate new product development.
-Conduct technical product training and marketing presentation to support product introduction and promotion.
-Develop and implement branding including: collateral materials; web design; and technical and marketing literature.
-Meet and exceed annual sales plan and provide accurate sales forecast.
-Monitor and report competitive product and marketing activities to formulate counter plans and maintain awareness of product requirements and new market opportunities and technology trends.

Requirements

-B.S. in Engineering, Business or related discipline
-At least 2 years experience in sales, including formal sales training.
-Strong negotiating skills and interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
-Must be able to frequently travel overnight
-Prefer candidates with international experience and fluency in one or more European or Asian languages
-Current computer literacy including proficiency in use of full Microsoft Office Suite.
-No paid relocation

Administrative Assistant/Sales Support
NexTech Materials is seeking an administrative assistant to support its sales and marketing team for its fuelcellmaterials.com division. We are looking for an efficient, organized individual with a strong attention to detail. Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of professional office experience supporting a busy sales team.

This position will involve accepting and filling customer orders, preparing monthly sales reports, and assisting the sales team with customer communications and trade shows. A strong understanding of the company’s inner processes will form the basis of success in this role. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Process fuelcellmaterials.com orders at a 95% accuracy rate
- Ship filled orders at 95% on time delivery
- Keeping customers up to date on orders and shipping
- Maintain customer service survey while obtaining 40% response rate
- Keep detailed monthly reports on: orders, Accounts Receivable, customer service, and website stats
- Coordinate updates of fuelcellmaterials.com and product related newsletters
- Maintain 100% readiness for tradeshows

Requirements:

Catalyst Engineer
The position is for an engineer who will work as part of a research and development team. The engineer will be responsible for developing scalable methods for the production and packaging of catalysts. Job duties will include design of experiments related to catalyst production, system design and economic analysis, and in the lab synthesis of catalysts and ceramic coatings. Additionally, the engineer will be involved with catalyst testing, characterization, and design of systems for testing packaged catalysts.

Requirements

-B.S. or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or related field
-2-5 years job-related experience preferred

The following experience would be a plus:
-Catalyst or ceramic synthesis techniques.
-Ceramic coatings and application methods.
-Catalyst testing, including gas chromatography.
-System design and economic analysis.
-Process design for scale-up.
-Materials characterization, including SEM, TEM, XRD, or XPS.
-Building and testing of prototype and pilot-scale systems.

Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Stack Assembly & Test Engineer
NexTech Materials is a world-leading supplier of materials and components to the emerging fuel cell industry. During the past fifteen years of profitable trading the company has grown a vast knowledge base and has grown a team of world renowned scientists and engineers that are now engaged in programs that aims to demonstrate novel cell and component technology within simplified stack and system concepts. NexTech’s partners within these current demonstration projects include the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, the State of Ohio, and several commercial partners.

The company based in Lewis Center, Ohio is currently seeking to hire experienced Technical staff in the following area:

Stack Assembly and Testing.

Candidates will be responsible for the build of cell, short-stack and full-stack test arrangements and will be required to make significant contribution to hardware and instrumentation design associated with electrochemical performance and durability testing. The position will only suit candidates that enjoy hands on approach in leading edge technology. The candidate will have a proven demonstration of innovative approaches to practical problem solving.

Responsibilities will include QA/QC conformance of all practices within his/her work scope, accurate and meticulous record keeping of materials, practices and performance data. The ideal candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong knowledge and proven capabilities of building, testing and analyzing electrochemical systems. Candidates with specific knowledge and experience in planar solid oxide fuel cell technologies will be favorably considered. Education: AA (7-10 years experience) or BS (2-5 years) degrees in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. Powder and Process Development Technician
This successful candidate will be directly involved in processing/fabrication and testing of electrochemical ceramic materials and electrochemical components (e.g. fuel cells and sensors). Job responsibilities will include:

- Perform routine tasks such as mixing, milling, pressing, for synthesis of ceramic powders
- Operate spray deposition and heat treatment equipment
- Perform electrochemical characterization experiments
- Follow both written procedures and instructions from supervising engineer
- Maintain good record keeping in production records, laboratory notebooks, databases, etc. to document processes
- Generate reports summarizing results.
- Procure materials and services as required

Critical qualifications include a A.A., A.S. or M. S. in Materials or Engineering. Strong communications skills and a goal-oriented teamwork ethic are also required. Hands-on experience in industrial ceramic processing, and/or ceramics characterization experience is a plus.

Electrochemical Device Fabrication Technician
This successful candidate will be directly involved in fabrication and testing of electrochemical ceramic materials and electrochemical components (e.g. fuel cells and sensors). Job responsibilities will include:

- Operate screen-printing, tape casting and heat treatment equipment
- Collaborate with engineering group to developing reproducible, scalable methods
- Perform electrochemical characterization experiments
- Follow both written experimental procedures and instructions from supervising engineer
- Maintain good record keeping in laboratory notebooks, databases, etc. to document materials and methods development
- Generate reports summarizing results.
- Procure materials and services as required

Critical qualifications include a A.A., A.S. or M. S. in Materials or Engineering, and hands-on experience (5+ years) in industrial ceramic processing with specific skills in wet processing of ceramics. Strong communications skills and a goal-oriented teamwork ethic are also required. Ceramics characterization experience is a plus.

Research Intern: The qualified candidate will be enrolled in a B.S. program in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science as a sophomore, junior, or senior. The term of the position is 3 to 6 months. The candidate should have completed general chemistry and calculus classes. The individual(s) will gain important hands-on experience in development and scale-up of processes for manufacturing inorganic materials.
