Sensors NexTech develops gas sensors for a variety of applications in energy and environmental markets. NexTech developed its first sensor, a carbon monoxide sensor for use in hydrogen streams, in conjunction with Ohio State University in 1998. NexTech’s sensor development team boasts a track record of innovation in commercially-driven programs. Our team leverages NexTech’s materials synthesis, catalysis/electrocatalysis, component fabrication and testing facilities to serve as an active partner in new sensor material identification, prototype fabrication and manufacturing scale-up. NexTech is launching a hydrogen (H2) sensor product for use in a range of applications including hydrogen production, PEM fuel cell installations, and hydrogen filling stations. This sensor offers a highly sensitive, selective, and rapid response to the presence of hydrogen in ambient air and is robust to variation in environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and background gas constituents. To see NexTech’s H2 sensor in action and to learn more about this innovative device click on the links below, or if you require further details please contact us. NexTech is also developing sensors capable of detecting hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in reducing gas atmospheres for fuel processing applications, including fuel cells, distributed hydrogen production and biofuel facilities. These sensors offer a highly sensitive, selective and fast response to H2S over a wide concentration range (25 ppb to 10 ppm) and rapidly recover when H2S levels dissipate. They also can be customized to meet specific customer application requirements. Please click here for more information on the H2S sensor. NexTech is actively seeking development partners for sensors in the environmental and energy markets. If you are interested in partnering with NexTech for development of sensors for your application, please contact us. |
