Oxygen Generation NexTech is an active participant in the development of ceramic oxygen generation (COG) technology for industrial and commercial applications. Unlike conventional oxygen separation technologies, such as pressure swing adsorption or cryogenic separation, COG has the potential to produce high purity oxygen from air in a single step. Moreover, COG can be more efficient, can occupy a smaller amount of space, and can operate more quietly than conventional oxygen generation technologies. These high temperature ceramic membrane systems concentrate the oxygen present in atmospheric air to purities >99%. Over the past ten years, NexTech has developed: NexTech’s experience in SOFC materials and manufacturing has allowed us to leverage our suite of materials, component and stack designs to develop for COG systems that offer unprecedented performance with respect to size, weight and power requirements. NexTech’s COG stack designs leverage proprietary cell configurations that are suited to compact, high efficiency COG stacks using relatively inexpensive materials and fabrication methods.
